JOINT MEMORANDUM TO OUR PMG REGARDING ABOLISHING OF POSTMAN AND GDS

MEMORANDUM

                                                          

            We humbly submit the following few lines regarding abolition of Group C and MTS posts in Annual Direct recruitment plans for the year 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 in Dharmapuri Division.

            As per the direction of R.O the following posts were abolished in Dharmapuri Division from 01.11.2014

      1. Postman Barur S.O                                                          

      2. Postman Bommidi S.O

      3. Postman Morappur S.O

      4. Postman Pauparapatti S.O

      5. Postman Dharmapuri H.O

      6. MTS Dharmapuri HO =   4 Posts 

            Of the above 5 post of postman abolished, the following Post offices are situated in town Panchayat area,

    1. Pauparapatti S.O

    2. Bommidi S.O

            Population of both towns is around 30000, Pauparapatti is class I office and Bommidi is class II office. Morappur is class I office and Panchayath union office is situated in Morappur town. Population is around 30000. As all the above 3 offices are situated in town area, Departmental Postman is necessary for the better service to public. The work load is also heavy in these offices. Therefore, it is requested that the following post kept vacant may be redesignated as Postman so as to fill up the post with departmental postman.

            Dharmapuri H.P.O is HSG I office. The strength of H.O is as follows.

1. APMs: 5                             2.PAs:35                                 3.Postman Staffs: 14

                  There are various branches such as Mails, Treasury, Counter, Accounts, SBCO and SB Branches in Head Post Office. Minimum MTS required to manage the branches are as follows,

           

1.      Mails : 2,                                      2. Speed Net, Registration Delivery : 1,

            3. Sub Account: 1,                             4. MPCM/SB Counter: 1                           

5. Accounts & SBCO: 1,                   6. Chowkidhar: 1                 

7. Sweeper: 1.

                         As per RO directions, 4 Post of MTS were abolished w.e.f 01.11.2014. Now, only 6 MTS posts are available after abolition. Therefore, it is requested to redesignate the post of LR Group D, Dharmapuri West Sub Division which is vacant as MTS, Dharmapuri HO so as to manage MTS work of HO. In addition, one post of GDSPKR may kindly be attached to HO among GDS Post available in skeleton to manage the work of various branches smoothly.

                          Hence it is requested to consider the above proposals favorably and cause to issue necessary approval in this regard.
